Imagine tiny stick rolls with some miniature filling. They were long rolls filled with ground shrimp. Taro rolls were really nice and surprising. If I need to cut my own veggies, I would rather go to a grocery store, not a restaurant. It was so painful to eat that huge cabbage. They literally put half uncut cabbage with it and no knife. Papaya salad was ordinary, good but same as everywhere else. Bangkok red curry tasted the same as anywhere else. With Thai good, you can’t do too much to make it high end. It’s a high-end Thai place with tiny portions. We are even contemplating going back tomorrow night! More Our bill came to just over $60 with tax and tip for the five dishes and my husband's Diet Coke. By the time we left there were about three patio tables filled, and those with food on them looked equally as tasty as ours did. As we were finishing up, live music started playing below, as it does nightly around 6 pm which only added to the loveliness and ambiance of the meal. As we finished a plate it was quickly taken off the table. The food was quick to come out and presented nicely on the plate. We ordered the fresh rolls, chicken satay which came with two equally delicious sauces, one that was a plum and the other a peanut sauce, a yellow curry with chicken that came with rice, the garlic chicken which also came with rice, and the pork strips which were accompanied with a sriracha sauce. I have a dairy allergy (and had a reaction the previous night at a different place as well as a close call at breakfast) and so we asked our questions and the waiter guided us and said he would double check with the kitchen. The waiter came promptly, with glasses of ice water in hand, and asked if we were ready to order. My husband and I decided to share several plates. We had previously looked at the restaurant menu and made the choice to try the HH menu. We went during happy hour (4:30-6) where you can eat either at. This was the best food we have eaten in Waikiki! This is a full service restaurant on the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, right across from the third floor food court.
